A pet store was selling mice 5 for $8.35. If they ended up selling 2 mice, how much money would they have earned?

To find this out, lets find out how much one mouse cost:

Divide the cost by the number of mice:

8.35/5 = 1.67

Then multiply it by 2, the hypothetical number of mice sold:

2 x 1.67 = 3.34 

So the final answer is $3.34
