The politicians in 2011 were so interested in trying to repeal collective bargaining rights for public sector employees because the states were faced with huge deficits and were desperate to reform their budgets and cut pensions. The administration made a promise that tey can't keep regarding the social welfare program and left a massive debt fot the next administration
