When placed in a freezer, liquid water turns into solid ice. Why is this considered a physical change?

Well its something that is physically happening you could watch it happen and it doesnt require other chemicals for a chemical change.

I think because you can change it from its solid state back to liquid. physical changes can happen when there's a change in pressure or temperature. no chemical change happened when the water froze.
