If two fractions have the same denominators, then just simply add up the numerators together and keep the denominator.

Examples:

[tex] \frac{4}{10} + \frac{5}{10} = \frac{9}{10} [/tex]

[tex] \frac{10}{12} - \frac{2}{12} = \frac{8}{12} [/tex]
