No, it would not. This is because any hurricane always loses strength after coming onto land. I don't know if I explained it well but I hope this helps!

It depends on where the hurricane is. Usually places that are near the ocean like Florida are likely to get hurricanes, but as you go further into the country you don't get hurricanes but rather tornadoes.
