How do you write 26,373 in scientific notation?

You move the decimal over until there is one digit left in front of it and then count how many places you moved the decimal. The number of places you move the decimal will be the exponent in the scientific notation. The number you get when you move the decimal is also used in scientific notation, so it would look like this:

2.6373* 10^4
