f(x) = -5x -4

g(x) = x^2+3

To find (g+f)(x) , simply add both equations:

(g+f)(x)= x^2+3 + (-5x -4 )

(g+f)(x)= x^2+3 -5x -4

Combine like terms

(g+f)(x)= x^2-5x+3-4

(g+f)(x)= x^2-5x-1
