Why are elections considered lifeline of every democracy?

Answer:

it's because democracy is a government for the people by the people and of the people.

and it also give people right to choose there governor.

and election is the best way to represent people choice. if there's democracy then there should be election.

and that's why election is lifeline of democracy.
