Well I don't know what text you're talking about but
A Buddha's life is based off of belief in gods and prayer, some say the position that most Buddha's sit in is also them meditating. Also is said if you collect Buddha's they give you good luck and a fun fact if you rub the belly button of a Buddha statue you are to be granted a surprise in life or a wish to be granted.
