Answer: There is an extra Nitrogen in Alanine. We also see that Deoxyribose has many more Carbon, Hydrogen, and Oxygen atoms

Deoxyribose is: C₅H₁₀O₄

Alanine is: C₃H₇NO₂

If we see and look at the chemical formulas, we see that there is a lone Nitrogen in Alanine that isn't in Deoxyribose.

And the chemical equations also state that Deoxyribose has so many more atoms than Alanine.
