Answer: Mostly for land, gold, and riches.

Explanation: Basically when Columbus arrived in The Americas, He thought it was the East Indies. Columbus wanted to go to India for riches, spices, and land. When he arrived the people were poor, but they thing they cared about was land. Many European countries wanted the land.
