The early Indian civilization developed along the Indus river. The ruins of Harappa and Mohenjodaro provide evidence for this theory. The fertile river banks of the Indus river provided for the required food and the starting of the civilization. The ruins do prove that the civilization reached great heights befor being destroyed.
