There is a vector A with magnitude 5 units pointing toward west, and a
vector B with magnitude 3 units pointing toward south. Using vector
addition, what is the magnitude of the resultant vector?

Using the Pythagorean’s theorem to find the resultant, we find 5’2 +3’2=x’2
