How does an MRI and CT Scan help us understand the structure of the brain?

MRI (Magnetic resonance imaging) helps us see detailed images of the brain and brain stem. An MRI use radiation while CT ( Cat scan) does not. You want to use a CT when speed is important like looking for strokes and traumas. Both an MRI and CT can help you get a good look at an area of body that has a tumor.
