What does nick’s opinion of Tom and Daisy seem to be in chapter one

In the beginning, Nick isn't comfortable with Daisy and Tom. Even Daisy notes that the two cousins don't know each other well, and the entire first evening is a bit awkward for everyone, particularly with Tom's mistress calling him during dinner.
