The correct answer is B) 50.

Straight lines add up to 180 degrees. The outside angle measurements given would tell us that the two known angles are 40 (180-140=40) and 90 (180-90=90). Since triangles must add up to 180 degrees, we take 180-90-40= 50, which is the measure of the missing angle.
