Why was America’s victory at Yorktown among the most significant battles of the American Revolution

The tactical advantage of the situation was an amazing idea, by taking Yorktown it pushed the British army back to a peninsula where they believed they would be resupplied by the British navy, instead they were met by both the French and the Colonists Navy. Preventing any supplies from ever reaching the British.
