Start by plugging both points within each parenthesis into x and y. Do it interchangeably also!

2(1)+5(1)= 7, which means it isn’t going to prove true. Because 7 isn’t greater than 7.
Since both are 1 it is already interchangeable.

2(-1)+5(4)=-2+20, which is 18. This means the solution doesn’t work, because 7 isn’t greater than 18.

2(4)+5(-1)=8+-5, which is 3. This one must work because 7 is greater than 3!
