An ecosystem can probably survive without plants and humans,
depending on what kind of ecosystem. There are certain ecosystem would probably
require having producers and carnivores in order for the ecosystem to work. In
some cases, it can also be the climate. It depends on what kind of ecosystem we
are referring to.
