We can break this down by removing the parenthesis first:

-2 + [tex]\sqrt{-8}[/tex] + 5 - [tex]\sqrt{-50}[/tex]

In order to continue, you have to simplify the square roots by factoring it and taking out i:

-2 + [tex]2i\sqrt{2}[/tex] + 5 - [tex]5i\sqrt{2}[/tex]

Combine like terms:

-3 - [tex]3i\sqrt{2}[/tex] <-- that's the answer

Hope I helped :)
