So the area of the rectangular rug is 4*9, which gives you 36 so

(Rectangle) A = 36 which is also 4*9
(Square) A = 36
What number multiplied by itself give you 36? Why do you need to find a number multiplied by itself? Because when you multiply a number by itself, you get a perfect square and that is what you are trying to find.

6*6 = 36
