How did The relationship between the English and the native Americans change over time

In the beginning Pilgrims were accepted among the Native Americans and the Native Americans showed them how to grow crops and thrive in their new surroundings. But over time the English kept coming and coming and relationships between the Native Americans and the English were tense because the English left little to no space for the Native Americans.
