This comes from the book “Things Fall Apart” written by Chinua Achebe. He writes about Okonkwo, who was a strong and popular man in his village and he resented the change that came in his village when the white missionaries arrived. Even his son Nwoye went to the side of the missionaries much to Okonkwo’s dismay.
