San Antonio de Valero Mission.
The complete name of the Alamo was The Alamo Mission in San Antonio. Originally it was known as "Misión San Antonio de Valero". As one of the first Spanish Missions in Texas is known as the site of the Battle of the Alamo that took place in 1836.
