The four main parts of a flower are: pistil, stamen, petals and sepals. The pistil is the female part of the flower, the stamen is the male part of the flower, the petals are the colourful parts of the flower while the sepals are the modified leaves which protect developing flower buds. The pistil is made up of the stigma, style and ovary while the stamen is made up of filament and anther.
