125, 216, 343, 512, 729

the numbers given in the sequence are recognisable as cubes

1 = 1³, 8 = 2³, 27 = 3³, 64 = 4³

the next five terms will be

5³ = 125, 6³ = 216, 7³ = 343, 8³ = 512 and 9³ = 729
