And we can also write it as

[tex]5x^{12}-2x^6+x^5 -198x+4[/tex]

Leading coefficient is the number or the constant that is with the term with the degree. And here degree is 12, and the constant or the number that is with the term is 5 .

So the leading coefficient is 5 here.
