Peace Talk to end the Korean War were
stalled over the repatriation of prisoners. The Korean War was ultimately
brought to an end by Eisenhower whose main goals were to contain the Soviet
Union’s expansionist tendencies as well as reducing the government deficit. He
allowed the return of prisoners once the armistice was signed
