How do you factor: #y= 2x^3 -32x #?

Which two factors are common to both terms of the given expression?
One of those factors is 2; the other is x.  

Thus, y= 2x^3 -32x = 2x(x^2-16)

Also note that x^2-16 is easily factorable: 

y = 2x(x-4)(x+4)  (answer)
